Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the country flag icon at the bottom of the screen
From the “Choose your country or region” list, scroll down to the “Asia Pacific” section and click on “Japan”. This will take you to the iTunes Japan storefront.
On the right side of the screen, select the “App Store” from the drop down menu.
In the app store, scroll down to “Top free apps” list and select “Get” from any app from that list.
From the pop-up, click on “Create Apple ID”.
Welcome message… Click “continue”
Agree to terms
Fill in your email and password which will be your iTunes Japan login. FIll out the three security questions and your birthday. Click “Continue” when done.
For payment type select “NONE”. If you have the iTunes Japan gift card code ready, it can be entered now, if not later. For the bill address use an an anonymous address. Copy and paste the text show below to match the info shown.

A verification email will be sent to your email inbox. Check your email (Don’t press “OK” yet)
In the verification email from Apple, click “Verify now”
Sign in with the email and password you used in the steps above. Click “Verify Address”
Successful verification will be confirmed. Click “Return to the Store”.
In iTunes, sign in to finish creating your iTunes Japan Apple ID. DONE!
Step2: Purchase from iTunes Japan using a Gift Card
iTunes Japan Gift cards can be purchased at the following stores:
Once an iTunes Japan gift card is purchased, the store will send you a redeem code. Make sure to keep this code.
In iTunes, select the song you wish to buy and and click on “Get”. This popup will appear. Click on “Buy”.
A message will appear indicating the purchase cannot be completed. This is okay because you did not enter your credit card information at signup (unless you have a Japanese credit card). Most of us will be purchasing using a gift card. Click on “Billing info”.
Click on the link to redeem your gift card code.
Enter the iTunes Japan redeem code the store has sent you and click “Redeem”. DONE!
